Vedhika Kumar, also known mononymously as Vedhika, is an Indian film actress who has appeared in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu and Hindi films. She started her acting career with the Tamil film Madrasi. She made her breakthrough portraying Angamma in Bala‘s period film Paradesi (2013), winning critical acclaim and awards for her portrayal. A year later she delivered yet another big hit in Kaaviya Thalaivan (2014). In 2016, her Kannada movie Shivalinga went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters in Kannada industry. In the summer of 2019, her Tamil movie Kanchana 3 released. It became one of the Top South grossers of the year, grossing more than ₹1 billion (US$14 million) at the Worldwide Box office.
